Is there a 10bet app, and where do you get it?

On iPhone and iPad the app is on the Apple App Store (listing ID 819159283) and requires iOS 16.0 or later, which rules out anything older than an iPhone 8. Huawei devices without Google Mobile Services are served by a separate build reported at 29.4 MB, but no source names the store it is published in. The Android download size is the one figure everybody disagrees on: 77.9 MB, 67.2 MB and 30.8 MB all appear across published reviews, and the table below shows which source says what rather than picking one and calling it settled.

Requirements by platform

Where sources conflict. Android download size is published as 77.9 MB (APKPure), 67.2 MB (afrik-foot) and 30.8 MB (bettors.co.za) — a spread of more than 2x, which usually means the reviews were written against different builds. LiveScore's figure of roughly 100 MB is free storage needed on the device, not the size of the file, so do not read it as a fourth size claim. Minimum OS conflicts too: LiveScore states Android 4.0 and later, while bettors.co.za lists "Software Version 5.0+", which contradicts it if read as a minimum OS rather than an app version. No source publishes a RAM requirement for any of the three platforms, and no source gives a version number for the iOS or Huawei builds, so those cells are left empty rather than guessed.

Installing the 10bet APK on Android

Because the app is not distributed through Google Play, Android will treat the file as an install from an unknown source and block it until you grant permission to the browser or file manager that downloaded it. That permission is per-app, not global, and you can revoke it immediately after the install completes.

Checking you have the right file: the package name must read se.tenbet.sports.android — a clone with a different package name can sit on your phone next to the real app without overwriting it. If zero-rating exists, it would be announced on the operator's own site and would be visible as a separate data-free domain.

What data-free actually means in South Africa: the operator pays your network — MTN, Vodacom, Cell C or Telkom — to carry traffic to a specific domain so it does not draw from your bundle. It never covers the initial app download. On Android that download alone is a published 77.9 MB, and app updates come as full re-downloads of the same size because there is no Play Store delta patching in the APK route. Budget for that on a prepaid bundle.

If you need to keep data use down without zero-rating, the practical lever is live streaming and in-play refresh, not the app itself. Turn off any video, and download updates over Wi-Fi.

App against the mobile browser

The honest summary: the browser costs you nothing to install and is always the current build; the app costs storage and manual updating, and buys you push notifications and device biometrics. Neither works offline — every bet needs a live connection to be accepted.

When the app misbehaves

The install fails or the app closes on launch. The first thing to check is storage: LiveScore puts the Android requirement at around 100 MB of free space, which is more than the 77.9 MB download itself, and a phone sitting near full will let the download finish and then fail the install. The second is the OS floor. Sources disagree here — LiveScore says Android 4.0 and later, bettors.co.za lists 5.0+ — so on a device older than Android 5.0 you are in the contested zone and the browser version is the safer bet. On iPhone, anything below iOS 16.0 simply will not install the App Store build.

The app will not update. Outside Google Play there is no automatic update channel: the APK does not patch itself, and you will keep running an old build until you download the current one and install it over the top.
